Privacy Policy

Solar Panels Edmonton respects your privacy. This policy sets out what personal information we collect, why we collect it and how we look after it. We follow Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
When you phone, email or send a form, we collect the details you choose to give us. That usually means your name, phone number, email, neighbourhood or town, property type, what you are interested in (solar, battery backup or service), approximate monthly bill and any notes.
When you browse the site, standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and referring page may be recorded in server logs.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry, prepare an estimate, arrange a site assessment, carry out work you hire us for, and meet our legal obligations. We may contact you about your enquiry by phone, email or text message.
Who we share it with
We share information with our contractor partners when they help assess or complete your project, and with service providers who help run the business, such as website hosting, email delivery and phone handling. They may use it only for that purpose.
We never sell your personal information. We may disclose it where the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it for the purposes above and to meet legal and record-keeping requirements. After that it is securely deleted or anonymised.
How we protect it
We use reasonable physical, administrative and technical safeguards suited to the information involved. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Cookies
The site does not use advertising cookies. It may use cookies for basic functions and spam protection on forms. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some features may then stop working properly.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to further contact. Email hello@solarpanelsedmonton.com or call 250-250-2525. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version and its date are always posted on this page.

- Your address, so we can check roof direction, pitch and shade on satellite imagery.
- A photo of your electrical panel with the door open. It shows whether an upgrade is needed.
- Plans for an EV, heat pump, hot tub or garage suite, so the system is sized for them.
